Competitie rules - world record dyno contest

  • all Guinness Book of Records dyno rules are applicable.
  • the dyno wall is fixed at an angle of 20 degrees.
  • the holds are the standard Bendcrete dyno hand and footholds.
  • participants must jump from the handholds from right to left, under a 45 degree corner to the target hold.
  • feet are not permitted to touch the handholds.
  • the left handhold must be held with the left hand and the right with the right hand.
  • an attempt starts with 2 feet on the footholds and 2 hands holding the handholds.
  • an attempt is classed as successful when the participant hangs from the target hold in control with both hands. The jury decides if an attempt is successful. Holding the target hold in control for 2 seconds is an indication of a successful attempt.
  • competitors must be 16 years or older.
  • all competitors must be a member of an official climb or mountaineers federation
  • all participants must subscribe before the competition.
  • competitors will be called by name when the competition starts. Competitors must remain in the vicinity of the competition wall; there is no isolation area.
  • participants arriving late will still be permitted compete. They will join the competition and begin at the jump distance at that time. Competitors can no longer join the competition after the semi final.
  • climbing shoes are compulsory, chalk bags must remain on the ground.

Subscription and warming-up:
After their subscription has been confirmed, a participant can warm up on the dyno wall.


kwalificatie:

  •  The distance of the first qualification will be set by the organisation depending on the number of participants. The minimum distance for the woman will be 1.6 m, for the men 1.9 m.
  • 2 attempts per distance for all participants. Participants must complete their 2 attempts simultaneously.
  • Depending on the climbing level of the participants, the distance will be increased initially in 10 cm, then 5cm increments per round until there are 5 or less competitors remaining. If the competition is lasting to long, the organisation can reduce this number of competitors to 3.
  • Competitors can choose to skip a distance.
  • If the competitor fails to reach a distance they will no longer participate in the competition.
  • In the event of a tie, the number of attempts needed to achieve the distance will be counted.

Finale:

  • attempts per distance per competitor
  • 5 attempts per distance.
  • If a competitor fails to reach a distance they will no longer participate in the competition.
  • The distance will increase initially 5 cm, then 2.5 cm increments per round.
  • Participants must complete their 5 attempts simultaneously.
  • Once the world record is reached, the distance will increase with 2.5 cm.
  • In the event of a tie, the number of attempts needed to achieve the distance will be counted.
